Get Well Soon!!!

Geri is such a kind lady.  She told us all about her life as a waitress and a nurse in Casper, Wyoming.  She really enjoyed working because she was always around people.  She reminded us often of how much she loves people.  But, the best part about Geri, is that she never needed to remind us; we could feel it from the minute we walked in.  And when it was time to leave, we didn't want to go.
Geri, we hope you start feeling well soon!  Thanks for being so kind and friendly!  And thanks above all for your beautiful smile.

Single mother of 17!

Granny Maureen is absolutely inspiring.  She is the proud mother of 17 children.  She has 13 sons and 4 daughters, but says that the boys are very kind so that the girls never feel outnumbered.  Raising 17 children would be challenging enough for any parents; however, it is unimaginable to raise 17 children alone.  But, that is exactly what Maureen did.  After her husband abandoned her, Maureen never gave up.  She took a job as a nurse at the Utah Valley Hospital and continued to raise her children as best she could.
When Maureen was younger, she enjoyed playing softball.  She was a star shortstop.  She also loved to watch her children play baseball, football and basketball.

Granny Anna was all smiles!  She loved the flowers and promised that they would keep her smiling everyday.  Anna is an inspirational lady.  She is the mother of five, grandmother of over 30, and great grandmother of "over a million."  She says she has had a wonderful life because she has a wonderful husband and family.
When Anna was young, she enjoyed acting and singing.  She told us of the fun she had playing the lead roll in her high school play.  She loves Shakespeare, but her favorite play is Phantom of the Opera.

Our First and Favorite Red-headed Granny!!!

Granny Lorraine is an absolute delight.  She is extremely kind, gracious, and funny.  She was thrilled to receive her surprise flowers today, especially the flowers matched perfectly with her outfit.  Throughout our visit, Lorraine taught us all sorts of things like that redheads should never wear red, you should always keep your nails done, and above all, she reminded us how to smile.

Granny Lorraine taught us that the reason she can still smile is because she spent her life serving others.  She served as a nurse at the American Fork Hospital and at a care center for the disabled in Pleasant Grove.  Lorraine continues to receive visits from the grateful parents of some of the disabled youth she cared for.
Lorraine loves her daughter, her best friend Don, and her cats.  Before moving into her current care center, Lorraine cared for up to 15 cats, of which only three were her own.
