Granny Esther was born in Idaho , but has spent most of her adult life here in American Fork. She has one daughter, who cannot visit as often as they would both like. She has been in a rest home for just over four years, but says she can’t complain because everyone is very nice. She was so sweet to us and invited us to sit down and talk with her for awhile. Among other things, she told us that before she entered a rest home she had volunteered on the organizational committee of American Fork’s annual Steel Days for as long as she can remember. So, all of us that enjoy Steel Days have Granny Esther to thank!
